OFA certifications are available at our hospital for elbow, patella, hips, and thyroid. For the orthopedic certifications, pets must be 2 years of age or older. For thyroid certification, pets must be 12 months of age or older.

PennHIP Certification Services Near Your

PennHIP can be performed on dogs as young as 16 weeks of age. Identifying if a dog is susceptible to developing hip displasia at such a young age allows breeders the opportunity to make early decisions on breeding stock and allows the veterinarian to educate pet owners about recommended lifestyle adjustments and preventative strategies to reduce the pain and progression of the disease.
