About Dr. McKayla Dick

I was born and raised in the multicultural city of El Paso,TX. At an early age, I began traveling the world as an Airman in the United States Air Force. After serving in the United States Air Force as an in-flight refueler, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in St. George’s, Grenada. My clinical training was completed at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. We all enjoy walking our dog Cash and riding horses on the floodplain. I am the only one in our family that loves our Peloton and when our toddler allows my husband and I also enjoy traveling, hiking, fishing, camping, and flying. We love North Pole, AK and have made this our home.

I love working at North Pole Veterinary Hospital because of our amazing team and high quality medicine and surgery. My interests include but are not limited to internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, urgent care, and mentoring both students and new DVMs.
